LDS1003 is a compact, lightweight, and low-cost LD light source that combines a pigtailed LD module with a power and drive circuit. It requires no adjustment and outputs 1mW of LD light immediately after power-on. The wavelength can be selected from 375nm to 1640nm depending on the type of LD. The drive circuit has a built-in APC function, ensuring stable output over long periods. The optical output is provided through a single-mode fiber (1m in length) tailored to the wavelength, producing a spatially stable circular beam with no mode noise. The optical fiber output visible light semiconductor laser source is used as a light source for optogenetics and fluorescent lighting. The semiconductor laser source manufactured by Doric has the laser oscillation resonator inside the semiconductor chip, allowing visible light to be emitted directly from the resonator. Since the laser light source has a very narrow linewidth, the optical fibers used typically have an NA of 0.22 and a core diameter of 200 μm. Optical fiber core diameters starting from 50 μm can also be used.
